Welcome to The North East of England Championships 2012
On behalf of Barbara Slater ADCRG and everyone at Clann na nGael we would like to extend to you all a very warm North East welcome to our 20TH annual event. For this year only we have a change of venue, and running as a one day event due to the refurbishment of the Wallsend Memorial Hall. The new venue is a fabulous Sports for Excellence Centre which is very close to our original venue. Please check feis directions on syllabus.
This is a very special occassion for everyone at Clann na nGael and we will be celebrating in style at our now well established saturday night feis party, (see further details on syllabus), as well as adding new awards into the feis.
We have an impressive group of adjudicators and musicians, and look forward to the very high standard of dancing our event always attracts from across the UK and Ireland.
Open and prelim championships will run as two separate competitions, which will include solo results in both. All dancers have the opportunity to dance their open set dances.
There will be a parade of all champions at the end of each day, which will include open, prelim and local champions.
There will be a full canteen service providing both hot and cold food throughout the day.
We will again be running an informal social evening on Saturday 21st january at the Village Hotel Colbalt Business park, NE27 0BY. This was a huge success last year, the craic was mighty and the everyone who attended had a fantastic evening. Tickets £5.00 adult, £2.50 child, £10.00 for families, on sale at the Feis or you can pre-book through your teacher when entering championships.
We look forward to seeing you all and thank you for your continued support.
